Course Description
Strategic Evangelism Wisdom II: Passion for Christ
This course, “Strategic Evangelism Wisdom II” focuses on how to be equipped and empowered for evangelism. It explores different types of tactical methods required for winning the lost soul. It examines various types of approaches that apply to specific situations. It educates on how to identify the various types of challenges that keep souls in darkness, as well as how to deal with the familiar spirits in our environments and daily endeavors. Students will participate in practical sessions where they will differentiate between churchgoers and born-again Christians. They will also learn how to engage in intercessory prayer and intercessory warfare for souls to be saved. Non-participation or exemption from practical sessions will result in a loss of 30 percent of the final grade.

Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to enable students:

  • To understand the basic knowledge of Strategic Evangelism Wisdom II in the realms of evangelism.
  • To decipher between the uses of various terminologies that apply to evangelistic outreach and their usages.
  • To use the knowledge acquired as an effective tool for Passionate Evangelism.
  • To know how to use the knowledge to assist oneself as the preaching of the gospel requires personal experience.
  • To understand the language of Passion in evangelism, and how it applies to the natural environment

Learning Objective
The purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the basic knowledge of evangelism (building on previous knowledge if any).

  • Students will be able to explain the basic concept of evangelistic Styles
  • Students will be able to decipher between the usages of various terminology that applies to Evangelism Strategies.
  • Students will be able to analyze the experiences of the individuals who seek help in Evangelism Covenant-Keeping.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge acquired about Media Evangelism Ministration.
  • Students will be able to implement the skills of evangelistic ministry.

Assessment

  • Students will be able to write an exam or essay on the basic concept of evangelistic ministration
  • Students will be able to present a case study and analyze or evaluate how to handle evangelistic ministration
  • Students will be able to journal their experiences from lessons learned
  • Students will be able to do a group report with evangelistic ministration
  • Students will be able to participate in an evangelistic session with the supervisor or a mentor.

Course Requirement (for credits award)

    • 90 to 100 percent of class attendance is required for course completion
    • Students must read and study the recommended chapters prior to, and after the class session
    • Students must complete required exams and/or projects as required for a category of study
    • All students must be present to participate actively in all the practical sessions and take note of all observations for further discussion and project writing
    • Course EvaluationThis program is an intensive practical training that requires each student to be present and actively participate in all practicums.
    • Students will be evaluated based on practical knowledge and observations noted during each major session.

Course Assessment
Student’s assignment and project assessment would be based on:

  • Knowledge
  • Comprehension
  • Application (Practicum)
  • Academic Satisfaction
  • Proper Citation of Authorities and frequency of references
  • Spelling/Grammar/Syntax/Submission

Assignments and Projects
Weekly Assignments:
Students are required to write a weekly reflection on the topic covered. Each question must be answered adequately to reflect the exact question as stated in the course assessment above. Also, see the reflection and continuous assessment questions below.
Each week’s reflective paper carries 10% of the final grade.

  • Ordinary Level Weekly Assignments: 3- 5 pages

Bachelor’s Weekly Assignments: 3-7pages with citation

  • Master’s Weekly Assignments: 5-9pages with citation
  • Doctorate Weekly Assignments: 7-15pages with citation

 

One-Time Final Projects:
A 7 -12-page paper is due at the end of each semester course. This paper will integrate all elements of the course work including previous writing, discussions, reading, practical experiences, and practical reflections/Chapel presentation.
Students must clearly articulate the comprehension of lessons learned and knowledge acquired as stated in the course assessment above.

This project carries 30% of the final grade.

  • Ordinary Level Final Project: 5-10 pages
  • Bachelor’s Final Project: 10-15 pages with citation
  • Master’s Final Project: 15-25 pages with citation
  • Doctorate Final Project: 25-35pages with citation
  • *Please, note that your personal experiences and encounters are needed in all presentations.
    Practical Reflection for Continuous Assessment
    No preaching, answer the questions.
    1. What did you learn?
    2. How practicable is, the lesson learned?
    3. How does the lesson affect you?
    4. How do you plan to use the lesson to shape your lifestyle?
    5. How will you also use the lesson learned to help others?
    Examination
    There will be a final quiz and Chapel presentation at the end of each course section.
